How to View Customer Details in the Okappy App

Understanding how to access and manage customer details in our app is crucial for ensuring efficient and effective communication and job management.

Whether you’re using an iOS or Android device, the process is straightforward. Below, we detail the steps for both operating systems.

For iOS Users

  1. Open the Messages Tab: Start by launching the app on your iOS device. Once you’re in the app, tap on the ‘Messages‘ tab to proceed.
  2. Access Connections: In the upper right corner of the screen, you’ll find the connections icon (). Tap on this icon to open your network options.
  3. Navigate to Customers: Within this section, you will see a list that includes Employees, Customers, and Subcontractors. Tap on ‘Customers‘ to view your list of customer contacts.
  4. Select a Customer: From your list of customers, select the one whose details you wish to view. Here, you can access their profile information, website, and contact information.
  5. Additional Actions: While viewing a customer’s details, you also have the option to add notes specific to that customer or raise a job directly from their profile.

For Android Users

  1. Open the Messages Tab: Begin by opening the app on your Android device. Tap on the ‘Messages‘ tab on the home screen to continue.
  2. Click the Okappy Icon: Toward the top left of the screen, look for the Okappy icon and tap on it. This will open a menu of options.
  3. View Customers: From the menu, select ‘View Customers‘. This action will take you directly to your list of customers, where you can view and manage their details.

Important Notes

  • Privacy Settings: The ability to view customer details can be enabled or disabled through your employee settings screen. Please adjust these settings according to your privacy preferences and company policies.
  • Access Restrictions: It’s important to note that subcontractors do not have access to view your list of customers. Similarly, your customers cannot view your list of subcontractors. This is designed to protect the privacy and integrity of your business relationships.
