With Okappy you can add alerts which gets sent to all members of your team. To add alert follow these steps
When logged in the on web, from any screen,
- Click the Alerts icon towards towards the top right of the screen
- The messaging and alerts window will be shown
- Select Alerts if it is not already shown to see your latest alerts
- To add a new alert, click the +New alert button
- Enter your alert message
- Click the Send notification checkbox if you want a push notification to be sent to all registered devices
Receiving alerts on your mobile device
- If the send notification checkbox has been clicked, all registered devices for your employees will receive a push notification
- From within the app, click the Messages icon
- There will be a message from your company. Click that message to see all your company alerts

]]>Receive push notification when a new job has been added
When you add a job and assign it to one of your engineer or subcontractors. You want them to know. With Okappy when a job has been assigned to an engineer they’ll receive a push notification on their mobile device alerting them.
Read on to for more information on how to ensure you device is set up to receive push notifications from Okappy.
Receiving push notifications
To ensure you are getting push notifications on your iOS device,
1) Log into the Monitor app and click the Okappy icon towards the top left of the screen.
2) Click More
3) Click Device settings for app to open the iOS settings.
4) Click Notifications.
5) Set how you want your notifications to appear.
6) Now when a job is assigned to you, a push notification will be sent to your device.
If your engineer doesn’t have an iPhone or iPad, you can still send them a notification via text message (additional charges apply). See how to here.

]]>Messaging with the Okappy iOS app
With Okappy messaging you can easily communicate with your colleagues as well as other companies, customers or suppliers.
Communicating between collegues
You can send a message direct to your colleagues when logged in to the Okappy site by clicking on the connections icon ( 
), selecting the relevant employee and clicking the speech bubble.
From there you can see the latest messages and create a new message which they can view when logged into the Okappy website, from their mobile telephone or from the iPhone iOS application.
You can also view, send and receive messages from your iPhone or mobile phone using Okappy’s iOS app, selecting contacts and then clicking on your contact. From there you can see your latest messages as well as send or receive new messages.
Communicating with other people
If you want to send a message to another individual, you can do this from the website by clicking on the messaging icon ( 
) and then entering your message in the drop down box. If the telephone number is already stored you can simply select it or you can add a new number.
The message will be send as a text message and requires purchase of message credits. These are available by clicking on your name at the top right of the screen. The drop down box shows how many message credits you have available. Clicking on the link allows you to purchase more credits.
You can also select a date and time to send the message if you don’t want to send it straight away.
