Happy Christmas from us all at Okappy!

As the year draws to a close it’s a short newsletter this month. We’ve continued to work hard on performance enhancements across all aspects of the platform. Security has been in the news a lot in December and we’ve implemented a number of updates to protect the system from new vulnerabilities. We’ve also launched a new version of the Android app. Read on for more information.

2021 has been a very good year for some of our customers but a difficult year for others. Whether good or bad, we wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy festive season and hope you all have a prosperous new year.

Useful New Features

Android update

We’ve updated the Android app this month to improve performance and enhance how job updates are processed. Particularly when the phone is doing other things, when the battery is low or when the mobile network is slow or patchy.

Security

Security has been key this month. Without getting into the detail, a vulnerability was discovered in software which is used widely across the internet. We have updated our systems and put in place extra checks to ensure you stay protected.

Don’t forget, see all the latest web updates by clicking your Profile icon at the top right of the screen and then selecting Latest updates. iOS and Android updates are available from the Okappy icon, then select More.

Q: “How can i put the job status back if it’s been cancelled?”
A: “There isn’t a way to reset a job back to an earlier status for audit reasons. What most companies do is copy the job for the new appointment date. Others simply enter something like ‘Cancelled’ in the job description but leave it open.
